First, I have to thank two of my fellow bloggers for giving me an Awesome Dude Award and a Schmooze Award, respectively. If nothing else, these awards will serve to further confuse people who think they might remember me from high school. I'm not going to tag anyone else, because I can't be bothered, but the least I can do is give a shout-out to these two excellent bloggers.
Dorky Dad gave me the Awesome Dude Award. He said that I'm funny and a nice guy. "Or," he says, "at least it seems that way judging by his blog. He might secretly be a total jerk. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt." Thanks, Dorky Dad, although I don't think it's any secret that I'm a total jerk. So if there's a Total Jerk Award, feel free to give me that one too.
Jocelyn gave me the Schmooze Award. She said that "Diesel combines humor, fine writing, and shameless self-promotion into a most charming package." Awww. She said I had a charming package. And this was before she found out about my Special Equipment.
I also wanted to give a shout-out to a couple of new funny bloggers that I've run across. Tina, as you'll know if you've read her caption contest entries, is hilarious. This post in particular made me chortle like an asthmatic monkey.
I also found JohnQCasual's Citizen Kane on YouTube to be very funny, and dead-on.
I'll be back tomorrow with a post about the Devil's Weed. It's got pictures and everything.

Oooooh Devil Weed-I'm anxious.
I have been lame and slack on getting around to everyone in blogland and I am suffering the effects. Please accept my apologies. My brother was just in town and guess what movie he was raving about? - License to Wed. I will be seeing it sometime hopefully with the wife.
Oh yea, I forgot to ask you. What is the best book you have read in the last year or so that you would make someone read if you could? I am gearing up for a big vacay with the inlaws and there will be some juicy reading time sprinkled in there. I am ripe for a great book.
You know, a "Total Jerk Award" would be a good thing. And what would you think if you received one?
